In 2014 the Minneapolis 13 state metro had a total of 49,541 property sales. While that total is down about 7 percent from the prior year, it’s notably but the second-greatest sum since 2005, based on year end data places on January 21st by the Minneapolis Region Organizations of Realtors. The median cost that represents those house sales is $ 205,739, a 7.2 percent progress and the top median cost sellers have got in seven years.

“Median house costs as we start a brand new year in the Twin Cities metro change by neighborhood and yet the road from one residential community to another,” says Jenna Thuening, owner of House Destination. More homeowners are free to consider selling that house prices have rallied substantially.

“The marketplace is returning to more sound ground,” said Tom Weiner, president of the Minneapolis – St. Paul Area Association of Realtors, according to the January 15th post titled Signs point to a healthy – and growing – Twin Cities home market. His statement represents the confidence may feel as future home buyers are in a position that is more powerful than they found in the last couple of years as sellers appeared to have the leading edge. In 2014, the Twin Cities real estate listings stood at 73,768, which was a welcome increase of 2.3 percent over the preceding year and gave buyers more choices than had since 2010.
